Silly Milly

Milly I wish I would written about you each month. You will learn that’s what all the good mothers out there do, but your mom, she’s kind of average. Milly I regret to say I haven’t written about the story of your birth and I most certainly haven’t taken enough pictures, which is a testament to how drastic this change has been for your dad and I.
The other day I told your dad that I just love four months! At four months you are sleeping through the night. Mom is finally starting to feel like herself again. Milly you are the most smiley baby. Just writing about your smile is making me tear up because it is the cutest little smile I have ever seen. When you smile your dad and I smile with you it is simply contagious. Milly I did not know I had the capacity to love another person as I mush as I love you. Working has been hard on mommy and I miss you so much I ache. Mondays are always the hardest for me because I get the privilege of spending the entire weekend with you when Monday rolls around it’s a bit of a shock to my little heart. Milly you want to talk so bad you study my lips as they move and then you coo like crazy. You are a talker Milly and I can’t wait to hear what you have to say. You’ve got the cutest chubby cheeks and the other day your Grandpa counted the rolls on your arms, there were seven! I’m trying to put you in as many tank tops as I can because those little arms are just the delicious.
You are rolling over and you’ve started to giggle, but you only do every once in awhile and I can tell you are going to be one of those kids that has your own timing and so I’m going to try to patient with you and let you figure out things on your own… this will be hard on me… but I think it’s what you’ll need.
Milly before your dad and I go to bed we go into your bedroom and we watch you sleep because you are growing so fast! We stare at you and can’t believe you are ours.
Milly you may not want to hear this but I was scared to death of becoming a mother. I knew your dad would be a natural and so I thought our kids would make it because of him, but I must say I love my new role. Caring for you is an honor and you should know that even in my shortest prayer I thank God for giving me you and I am continually amazed that I have such a wonderful family.
Love you Monkey!
