City Creek Center

We went to the big opening weekend of the new City Creek Center in downtown SLC. I will tell you, it lived up to all the hype it has generated.

 From 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday we did nothing but shop and we still failed to experience everything it has to offer. We went to I don't know how many stores and I'm aching to go back and hit the ones I missed.

Even if you don't count yourself as a shopper, this is something you'll want to see. It's like SLC got a face lift and a few other sexy nips and tuks that will leave you thinking you are anywhere but in Utah. It had a big city feel that SLC has been craving.

The creek runs about four blocks all through the shops, it has live trout in it and the water is heated so the trout can survive our cold winters.

They said they expected 50,000 people a day from Thursday through Saturday to come explore City Creek and as I heard it last the expectation was filled.

 Ate at the melting pot Friday night. Nothing like a long three hour meal without a kid!
