Just Cause

Miss Milly the end of July will mark six months! I can't believe you've been a part of our lives for six whole months! You continue to bring a certain sunshine and light into our home and our lives that we have not experienced before. There are times when I look at your dad and I can't believe how simple life was when it was just me and him. Then I look at your chubby little face which is usually plastered with a big warm smile and I think.. who wants a simple life anyway?

At six months you are quite curious about everything surrounding you. You found your dad's mouth and nose last week and you haven't stopped giggling since. Today at church you thought the little baby behind you was hilarious, she kept you entertained for three whole minutes. You always want to sit up and see what's going on around. Sometimes you have trouble eating when you're not in a familiar place because you have to much to discover.

Milly my mother always said to me, " I hope you have a child just like you." Well I got lucky and had a child just the opposite from me.. But I do pray, Milly, you can know the joy your own child can provide you with just one twinkling smile.

Milly wherever I go people comment to me. "She's so cute." For the first time last week I took you to the daycare at the gym.. they cannot get enough of you there. When I handed you off to the tender she took you in her arms said, "Oh wow, she's sweet." It's true Milly you exude sweetness and I wish I could bottle it up and give it to people because it would immediately put a smile on their face.

Milly the longer I live the more I realize that some people in this world get things they simply don't deserve some of those things come in the form of tragedy, sorrow, or sickness, but in my life they've been waves of blessings and goodness. As I look at my life and the good fortune I've attained I have to think that most of it is admittedly undeserved.. like you Milly.
